When Wraggsbottom Farm’s finances are squeezed, Laura Baxter has an idea to show the world the secret of her happy (if sometimes muddy) country life: producing a reality show about Fittlescombe village.

But when the new vicar, ‘Call-me-Bill’ Clempson takes it upon himself to lead the anti-Valley Farm Show protest, Laura and her husband Gabe find that the village is divided. And when newcomer MP ‘Fast’ Eddie Wellesley draws attention for all the wrong reasons, opposition comes from some unexpected places too . . .
